MAYA TEMPLE Trod where the ancient Maya once did
To the south in the lush Toledo district you’ll find the remnants of the once great Mayan civilization.  Nim Li Punit, known for its immaculate stellas, plazas and ball courts, stands high a top a ridge that gives you a view of the sea on a clear day. Continue on to Blue Creek where you can follow the winding footpath to the entrance the caves that the ancient Maya believed to be the gateway to Xibabla – the underworld.  Continue in with headlights to see the mysteries of Maya for yourself.   Enjoy the enchanting rainforest setting of the mid-late classic site of Lubaantun.  One of the largest Sites in Southern Belize, it is considered by many to be the Olympia of the Maya.  After a Mayan lunch, we will venture into the 500 acre Rio Blanco Waterfalls Park.  Now a protected area, it attracts a variety of bird species in its overhead canopy.  The natural beauty of the many waterfalls cascading over sharp ledges has a charm that photographers can’t resist!  The deep pools surrounding the falls, will invite you in for a cool, refreshing swim.

One of the grandest archeological sites in the country Xunantunich, known as Maiden of the Stone, is situated not far from San Ignacio town in the Cayo district.  A short flight away from Placencia, Xunantuncih boasts a view like no other – Guatemala to the West and in all other directions Belize spreading out like a lush green mantle – spectacular in every sense of the word.

Cave Tubing Enter an exciting realm where rivers disappear into the underworld as you float on inner tubes with only your headlamp and professional guide to lead the way. Float through underground river caves sparkling with mica-studded stalactites and stalagmites, and filled with 1,000-year- old pottery shards, statues of fertility gods and Mayan footprints.

Canopy Tour or Zip Line The Canopy Tour is the same as Zip Line. Our Aerial Trek Canopy Tour offers adventurous guests a thrilling opportunity to soar through the jungle treetops high above the forest floor. The canopy tour involves traversing from one platform to another along a steel cable suspended up to 80 feet above the forest floor. Here, a new world will unfold as you gently slide along on a steel cable to the next tree platform. All tours are escorted through the forest canopy by a lead guide and a follow guide to ensure your safety. Your tour will take you over eight platforms. Along the way you will enjoy a bird’s eye view of our beautiful and pristine ecosystem. The tour will take approximately 1 hour.
