New Zealand is set to be a battleground for cricket supremacy as the Black Caps prepare to host Australia, England, South Africa, and the West Indies in a series of highly anticipated matches during the 2025-26 season. Alongside the men's schedule, the White Ferns will also engage in a thrilling twin white-ball series against South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The summer action begins with a three-match T20I series against rivals Australia, starting on October 1st. The Black Caps will then face England in a white-ball series that includes three T20Is from October 18th and three ODIs from October 26th.
The West Indies will then tour New Zealand for a multi-format series. It begins with five T20Is on November 5th, followed by three ODIs commencing November 16th, and three Tests, the first of which starts on December 6th.
The White Ferns, after participating in the ODI World Cup 2025 in India and Sri Lanka, will have a home season featuring 14 white-ball matches, starting in early 2026.
Zimbabwe will tour New Zealand for the first time for a three-match T20I series starting February 25th, followed by a three-match ODI series, which is part of the ICC Women's Championship 2025-29, starting March 5th.
The White Ferns will also participate in a five-match T20I series against South Africa as double-headers alongside the men's teams, running from March 15th to 25th. Additionally, they will play three ODIs against South Africa between March 29th and April 4th.
"It's great to welcome such a diverse range of opponents for both the Blackcaps and White Ferns, and especially pleasing for NZC to host the first-ever series between Zimbabwe and New Zealand women," said NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink.
He further commented on the doubleheaders against South Africa, offering a unique opportunity for fans to watch top-tier female and male cricketers.
Weenink added, "We're thrilled to build this exciting home summer around the ICC Men's T20 World Cup and on the back of the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, giving our players a chance to shine on the global stage as well as at home in front of their own fans."
Pace-bowler Kyle Jamieson expressed his excitement, stating, "It feels like a marquee summer. The calibre of opposition means we'll be constantly tested for the duration of the season and that's what you want as a cricketer."
He also highlighted the significance of playing in front of a home crowd and hoped for strong support from the New Zealand fans.
