Pant and Bumrah Shine in Latest ICC Test Rankings

The ICC Test rankings have been updated, reflecting a week of compelling performances in both Test and T20I cricket. Rishabh Pant of India and Ben Duckett of England are the notable climbers, reaching career-best positions following their impressive displays in the first Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Headingley.

Rishabh Pant has surged to seventh place in the ICC Test batting rankings after his remarkable twin centuries at Headingley. The dynamic wicketkeeper-batsman scored 134 and 118, joining Zimbabwe’s Andy Flower (2001) as the only wicketkeepers to achieve this feat in a Test match. Pant is also the first Indian wicket-keeper batter to surpass 800 rating points in Test history.

Joe Root maintains his position as the world's No. 1 Test batter, with Harry Brook closely following in second place. India’s Shubman Gill has risen five places to 20th, thanks to his elegant century in the first innings.

India’s pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, remains the No. 1 Test bowler after claiming another five-wicket haul at Headingley. His performance further solidifies his dominance in red-ball cricket. Ben Stokes of England has climbed three places to secure the No. 5 spot in the Test all-rounder rankings after contributing with both bat and ball.
